Samantha Mahon


Sam received her degree in Emergency Medicine from Trident Technical College and became a paramedic for Charleston County EMS in 2006.  She found her calling to serve families  after attending her first birth as a lead paramedic on a call where she provided much needed labor support while delivering her first baby as the lead paramedic on the call.  Sam is a 10 year veteran of the USAF her husband is a USN chief, and they have 3 children that keep them on their toes.  Sam started working at CBP in  November 2016.  Her roles at Charleston Birth Place include drawing labs, new patient orientation, and helping the staff during births and prenatal exams. Sam loves honeybees and has her own apiary. Helping women and families educate themselves about labor, birth, and parenting is a passion that shines through in her work at the birth center, community service, and work as a doula.
